SIX BOYS!

Something you may not know about me is that I have three sons. Andy, Joe and David, Jr. One of my best friends also has three sons. Sometimes we look around at our brood and shake our heads saying “How did we end up with SIX BOYS!” Her oldest and my middlest are best friends, he’s actually sleeping over tonight as I post these adorable photos of her youngest. Confused? Well you can figure it all out after you gaze upon this guy who I simply adore…

You Spin Me Right ‘Round Baby Right ‘Round

She’s back! She’s 3! She LOVES the Crescent Park Carousel!

Her mother told me they were there almost everyday over the summer! I shot these on Columbus Day, the last day the carousel was open this season, a bittersweet day for this little lady.

This is the big sister. An expert at catching the rings.

This is the oldest carousel in RI, saved from Crescent Park. It’s so beautiful!

How could you not be in love with these two!?

It’s nice to see you again!

Last year I took some precious photos of this little doll and she came back for more!

I love the turn of the head that a mother gives her baby when being held.

I love the way a daddy nuzzles his little girl.

Mazel Tov!

I recently shot my first Bar Mitzvah and I can tell you one thing, those kids know how to PAR-TAY!

This is Zachary, the Bar Mitzvah boy!

Even the ladies joined in on the fun!

Then there was this game. No comment.

Measure the bubble. Classic.

No children were harmed in the taking of this photograph.

Some sweet Moo cards I had made for the event. I passed these out at the reception so guests could view the photos online & have the option to buy some beautiful prints from Pictage!

Hurricane Irene was on her way but we snuck outside for a quick action shot. I love it!

And to end the night the boys wanted to do a picture with “Broadway hands”. You got it!

How Long Have I known You?!

Well, put it this way, we graduated from our all girls, Catholic high school together!

I feel like we should still be rolling up our kilts, how is this big family even possible?!

I was like, “could you just humor me, I have this idea..” laid down on the ground and I got it! USA!!

Awww, I always wanted a sister.

This is a special bench across the street from the family house in Bonnet Shores. It is dedicated to Kelli’s grandparents.

It truly doesn’t get any better than this!

Once In A While…

Once in a while you meet someone who changes a part of your life.

This beautiful woman is a brilliant speech pathologist in Providence, RI and she literally taught my son, Joe, to speak.

I’ve thanked her before and I will thank her again and again and again!

And yes, her family is beautiful as well.

Don’t be fooled by that cute little face! She’s a biter!

I love her.

SO here’s one more. My fave from the shoot.

Marisa goes to Cranston…and Australia!

Ok, so I didn’t actually GO to Australia, but my pictures did!

This lovely family traveled all the way from Australia to visit family in Cranston and I had the pleasure of photographing them!

These little guys had the cutest accents I’ve ever heard!

Here is the man of the hour! And I know you’re thinking “That’s not Cranston” but it is!

Could he be any happier?!

Even though it was the middle of summer we just had to get a shot of the cousins together wearing the sweaters their grandmother had bought for them! I mean…ocean, lobsters, khakis! It doesn’t get much better than this. Unless I had some Vegemite, that is.

Bring On The Joy!

I’m so lucky to be part of an amazing 10 day journey called The Joy Up. It is the brain child of Hannah Marcotti an amazing woman, mother & life coach. Her goal is to help us find ways to bring joy into our lives and while doing so we will welcome sparkle & glamor, too. So today I cleaned a little, played with the boys, watered my thirsty yard then packed up and headed to my secret beach. And I can tell you that all I feel right now is joy!

Shhh…It’s a Secret!

I was recently asked to shoot a secret wedding. I’d call it an elopement but that traditionally means the couple runs away together. In Kristen and Michael’s case they stayed right in their own backyard! The beautiful Hotel Providence was the setting for the ceremony, formals were in DownCity and the reception for 2 was at the intriguing Local 121. Makeup (and hair..gasp!) by the lovely and talented Kirsten Brusse of Joli Visage Makeup Artistry. Photos by yours truly.
